This magnificent square dish, known as a "compotier," is a remarkable testament to late 18th-century Meissen craftsmanship. During this period, the prestigious German manufactory was deeply influenced by the immense success of the French Royal Sèvres Manufactory, adapting its aesthetic to meet the aristocratic demand for French elegance.

As each piece from this era was decorated entirely by hand, this dish features its own unique, central bouquet of vibrant flowers, beautifully distinct from any other. It is surrounded by delicate leafy garlands and a stunning border of hand-painted pink roses set against a textured ground, finished with gilt highlights along the scalloped rim. This museum-quality piece represents a one-of-a-kind treasure of 18th-century floral decoration.
