Crafted during the second half of the 18th century by the prestigious Clignancourt manufactory in Paris, this exquisite hard-paste porcelain milk jug (creamer) is a rare piece of French royal history. It is delicately hand-painted with intertwined floral garlands and framed by elegant gold detailing.

A fascinating detail of this piece is a tiny original firing flaw on the inside of the spout, which the 18th-century porcelain painter cleverly and charmingly concealed by painting a small cornflower (barbeau) over it. This unique touch adds a wonderful layer of authenticity, showcasing the ingenuity of the artisans of the era. Bearing the iconic red stamp mark, it is a magnificent collector's item.
