This magnificent square dish, known as a "compotier," is a remarkable testament to late 18th-century Meissen craftsmanship. During this period, the prestigious German manufactory was deeply influenced by the immense success of the French Royal Sèvres Manufactory, adapting its aesthetic to meet the aristocratic demand for French elegance.
As each piece from this era was decorated entirely by hand, this dish features its own unique, central bouquet of vibrant flowers, beautifully distinct from any other.
