This exquisite footed compote (fruit bowl) is a magnificent piece of Limoges porcelain history. Produced in the late 19th century by D&C (Delinières & Cie)—affectionately known by collectors as "Vieux Bernardaud" (Old Bernardaud)—it marks the foundational era before Léonard Bernardaud officially partnered with the firm in 1895.

It features an elegant scalloped edge, beautifully decorated with refined pastel floral garlands and delicately tied ribbons, all perfectly framed by a fine gold trim. Adding to its prestige, this piece bears the mark of "Émile Bourgeois Grand Dépôt," the legendary Parisian luxury retailer located on rue Drouot. It is a highly romantic and historical piece, perfect for serving fruits or simply displaying its timeless elegance.
